Design. Build. Impact.
Hello! I’m Elizabeth Solis, a Product & UX Designer at the Austin Public Library | Austin History Center creating accessible, user-focused experiences.
My background in accounting across various industries enhances my design projects with business insight and creative thinking. I’d love for you to explore my recent work below

I enjoy creating thoughtful, accessible designs that help people get what they need without frustration. Working closely with others, refining ideas, and simplifying complex processes are some of my favorite parts of the job.
After 5+ years in corporate accounting, I realized I wanted more creativity and human impact. Discovering UX & Product Design (thanks to my partner), curiosity quickly turned into passion. I realized design isn’t just about aesthetics, it’s about solving real problems for real people.
Currently, I am a committed Product & UX Designer, driven by a passion for creating user-centered and accessible designs that make a meaningful difference.
My design process brings together three things I care about: understanding people, experimenting early, and improving through real feedback. By blending user-centered design with product thinking and frontend development, I can move from insight to prototype to polished experience in fast, meaningful cycles.
User-Centered Design
Creating intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging experiences that prioritize usability and delight.
Frontend Development
Building responsive, scalable, and performant interfaces with modern frameworks to bring designs to life.
Product Thinking
Translating business goals and user needs into practical solutions that drive measurable impact.
I follow an integrated approach that blends Design Thinking, Lean UX, and Agile into one continuous loop. I start by deeply understanding the user’s pain points through research and observation, then translate those insights into clear hypotheses. Before committing to full development, I run lightweight Lean UX experiments to validate assumptions quickly and reduce risk. Once an idea is validated, I partner with engineering in an Agile cycle: building, testing, gathering feedback, and iterating rapidly. This end-to-end approach ensures I’m always solving the right problem, validating solutions early, and continuously improving the product based on real user experience.

2+ years as a Product & UX Designer at the Austin Public Library | Austin History Center.
I dabble in what I like to call immature photography, the kind that happens when see something "cool" or am mesmerized by mother nature.
